Laura Garza

I am honored to have the opportunity to assist Mrs.Neira in leading a campus with such a rich tradition of education and am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in partnership with staff, parents, and community members to continue this excellence.

With integrity, a growth mindset and a positive attitude, we have an opportunity to promote a positive, caring climate for learning. I strive to instill these qualities in our young students to successfully meet high academic standards along with social emotional support. I look forward to building relationships with students and getting to know their personalities, as well as their learning styles and interests.

I look forward to the work we will do together and am excited to continue the legacy that is Wortham Oaks. Each student's success is the shared responsibility of students, families, schools, and communities. It is important to me that we see our students through your eyes.  The saying, “It takes a village” is absolutely true, and it will take our collective collaboration to make certain our students reach their fullest potential to live honorably, act humbly and model dignity.

Please know that I am here to serve, and it is my belief that we play an integral role in the education of our children. My door is always open and I welcome your input. I look forward to working with you as a team to help each child at Wortham meet his or her goals and have a successful school year!
